OUR MISSION

Our mission is to ignite the curiosity and imagination of people in all communities across the province, championing their stories and experiences through dance training, creation and performances.

Alberta Ballet is nothing without its community. The arts create magical experiences that nurture the imagination and foster self-awareness, confidence and a sense of belonging. The arts reduce stress and illness and can offset social disadvantages. The arts are not a solution for every societal ill; however, they do much more for a community than entertain.

This is the crux of our new vision. We want to uplift Albertans in every community through dance. We want many more people to gain the health and wellness benefits from watching or participating in dance, and we want to connect with our communities meaningfully. When our communities see themselves in our stories, on our stages and in our school, we can be confident our work resonates and supports the wellbeing of Albertans.
